Computer Denial Key In Columbine (via KOIN)

PORTLAND - A loss of computer privileges may have caused the Columbine massacre, according to a Portland psychiatrist. Researcher Gerald Block writes that just days after Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were denied access to their computers, they began to plan the attack on their school.


The Denver Post reported reported that the young men relied on their virtual world of computer games to express their rage and fill their after-school hours. Block noted that each time the boys' parents or educators took away their computer privileges, their writings or behavior became more violent.


Block published his conclusions in the latest American Journal of Forensic Psychiatry.
